First data on cave breeding in Discoglossus pictus Otth, 1837 (Anura, Alytidae)

The painted frog Discoglossus pictus is a generalist species occupying a broad range of habitats, but there are few observations on its presence in cave-like habitats. This paper describes the first known case of painted frog reproduction in an underground habitat.
